Boei checks incoming email for cold sales pitches and moves them out of your way, so your inbox stays a list of real customers. This article explains what gets filtered, where those emails end up, and what to do when Boei gets it wrong.
How to get there: Click Inbox in the top menu. The Spam view sits in the sidebar with a count next to it.
Only email, and only the very first message of a new conversation. Typical catches are sales pitches, partnership proposals, link exchange requests, SEO offers and "collaboration" emails from agencies you have never heard of.
Boei leaves these alone:
If the same sender emails you again after being marked as spam, that email goes straight to Spam without being checked again. Unmark one of their conversations and they are checked normally again.
Chat, WhatsApp and SMS are never filtered this way.
The conversation returns to your normal list, and future email from that sender is checked normally again.
You can also send a conversation the other way: open it and choose Mark thread as spam in the same menu. In the narrower layout that item is labelled just Spam.
Boei decides by asking one question: would a real customer of this business send this? To answer that, it needs to know what your business does. It reads that from your chatbot's business name and description.
This matters most if your website sends contact-form submissions into Boei. Those emails look alike no matter what business they belong to, so without a description Boei cannot tell a quote request from a mass mailing.
To fill it in, go to Setup → AI agent in the top menu → click your chatbot → Identity → Business tab. See Identity Settings.
If no chatbot in your business has a description filled in, Boei does not filter at all and every email lands in your normal inbox. That is deliberate: guessing without knowing your business costs you real leads.
Your email channel does not need its own chatbot for this. Boei uses the chatbot attached to the channel, and otherwise the main chatbot of that website.
