Copilot

Copilot is your chatbot's management assistant. Instead of navigating between tabs to configure settings, fix bad answers, or set up integrations, you describe what you need and Copilot handles it.

How to get there: Go to Setup > Chatbot in the top menu, click your chatbot. The Copilot tab is the first tab and opens by default.

How It Works

Copilot is a chat interface. Type what you want in plain language and it will either do it directly or guide you to the right place. Behind the scenes, Copilot delegates your request to one of four specialized agents depending on what you need.

When you open Copilot, you see contextual suggestions based on your chatbot's current state. These are things Copilot noticed you might want to address, like missing training data, a wrong answer that needs fixing, or a feature you haven't set up yet. Click a suggestion to start, or type your own question.

What Copilot Can Do

Fix bad answers and improve quality

Tell Copilot about a wrong answer and it will investigate: find the conversation, check what the bot referenced, identify the source of the problem, and fix it. It can edit training text, add Q&A items, hide incorrect training content, add behavior rules, and verify the fix worked.

Examples:

  • "My bot gave a wrong answer about our pricing"
  • "Check what the bot says about refunds"
  • "Add a rule: never promise delivery dates"

Configure chatbot settings

Change your chatbot's tone, opening message, language, response length, and other settings without navigating through menus.

Examples:

  • "Change the tone to professional"
  • "Set the opening message to: Hi! How can I help you today?"
  • "Enable live chat escalation"
  • "What tone is currently set?"

Set up lead capture

Create and manage lead flows that collect visitor information during conversations.

Examples:

  • "Set up a lead capture form with email and name"
  • "Show me my current lead flows"

Manage notifications

Create rules that determine when and how you get notified about conversations.

Examples:

  • "Email me at hello@example.com when a new conversation happens"
  • "Show me my notification rules"

Connect to external tools

Connect your chatbot to external services so it can look up data, log leads, or perform actions during conversations. Copilot handles the technical setup for you.

Examples:

  • "Connect my chatbot to HubSpot to log leads"
  • "Create an action that checks order status in Shopify"
  • "List my current actions"

Add training data

Add websites for crawling, create text snippets, or add FAQ items to teach your chatbot new information.

Examples:

  • "Add my website https://example.com for training"
  • "Add a text snippet about our business hours"
  • "Check the crawl status"

Change widget appearance

Update the CTA message (the text bubble that appears near your chat widget), brand colors, and position.

Examples:

  • "Change the CTA message to: Questions? We're here to help!"
  • "What does my widget CTA say right now?"
  • "Change the brand color to blue"

Test your chatbot

Simulate a visitor message and see exactly how your chatbot would respond, including what training content it uses to answer.

Examples:

  • "Test: what would the bot say if someone asks about pricing?"
  • "Simulate: I want to cancel my subscription"

Answer how-to questions

Copilot searches Boei's documentation to answer questions about features and best practices.

Examples:

  • "How do lead flows work?"
  • "What's the difference between text snippets and FAQ items?"
  • "How do I set up calendar booking?"

For things Copilot cannot change directly (file uploads, Google Calendar connection, custom styling, account billing), it tells you exactly where to go.

Suggestions

The suggestion rows below the input bar are contextual. They change based on your chatbot's state:

  • New chatbot: suggestions to add training data, set an opening message, install the widget
  • Active chatbot with issues: suggestions to fix a specific wrong answer or retry failed training pages
  • Well-configured chatbot: suggestions to connect external tools or add behavior rules

Click the X on any suggestion to dismiss it. Dismissed suggestions won't come back unless the underlying condition changes (for example, if you dismiss "add training data" and later delete all your training data, it will reappear).

Credits

Copilot uses credits the same way the rest of your chatbot does. Each interaction counts toward your monthly credit usage. The credit counter appears at the bottom of the chat during a session.
