Simple text helper to display a message

I'd like to have a helper that I can use to communicate a simple message.

Use case:

  • greeting/introduction
  • discount code
  • shipping delays
  • opening hours
    etc.

I tried to use the "Link" helper but a hyperlink is required and # doesn't work.
