Automatically Captured Attributes

When a chatbot conversation ends, the AI reviews the transcript and pulls out any situational details the visitor stated about themselves, their project, or their situation. These land on the contact as extra fields alongside the standard name, email, phone, and company.

Examples of what gets captured automatically (no setup required):

  • Solar/home: roof type, panels count, city, budget, timeline
  • SaaS/B2B: industry, role, team size, employee count, current tool, plan interest
  • Support: order number, ticket ID, subscription plan

You'll see these fields appear in the contact detail page, in exports, and on any deal created from the contact. The AI only records values the visitor actually stated (not what the bot said or asked), skips vague answers like "not sure", and caps at 8 attributes per conversation to keep contacts readable.

The system also learns your account's own vocabulary over time. If your conversations tend to capture roof_type, future conversations will prefer that same key so you don't end up with roof_type, roof, and property_type all meaning the same thing.

This is separate from the fields you configure in Lead Flows — lead flows still control what gets asked and required inside the conversation. Automatic capture just makes sure nothing the visitor volunteered is lost.
